METER AND GAUGES — Thermal Transmitter Check / Oil Pressure Switch / Speedometer Cable Removal and Installation / Speed Sensor Signal Check

EL-91prose procedureUnverified

Oil pressure switch condition table is slightly garbled in source — 'Engine start' should have resistance ∞ (switch open under pressure) and 'Engine stop' should be ~0 (switch closed at low/no pressure). Captured as best-read; ohm-symbol marks are partially illegible.

Speedometer Cable Removal and Installation

Speed Sensor Signal Check

  1. 1
Turn speedometer slowly using a small screwdriver.
Speed sensor signal check — ohmmeter on speedometer-cable input shaft; turn shaft slowly with screwdriver, continuity should toggle twice per turn.
    UEL077
  2. 2
Check continuity of speed sensor circuit.
    1. Continuity exists two times for each turn ... O.K.
