STARTING SYSTEM — Wiring Diagram (Cont'd) — CVT Models (Supplement-VII)
EL-7005wiring diagramSupplement-VII CVT starter — adds PNP switch inhibit vs M/T. Same architecture as Supplement-VI but with CVT (not N·CVT) terminology and unified variant tagging.

Wiring Schematic
Components (6)
Connections (5)
BAT
BATFL30White — battery to fusible link box
BATMOTBlack with Yellow — battery main-feed to starter motor
FL30
FL30IGNWhite with Black — battery-feed pin of ignition switch
IGN
IGNPNPBlack with Red — ST output through main + engine-room harness to inhibit switch
PNP
PNPSOLBlack with White — only flows when CVT selector is in P or N
NOTE
CVT starter circuit. Differs from M/T (EL-7004) by inserting PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH E106 between the ignition-switch ST output and the starter solenoid pull-in. Wire colour also changes from B/R (pre-inhibit) to B/W (post-inhibit). If the car cranks only in one selector position or never, troubleshoot E106 first.
WARNING
CVT starter cranks only with selector in P or N. Engine-cranking-related faults that present 'works in one position but not another' are almost always the inhibit switch (E106), not the starter or battery.
