How to Replace NATS IMMU
WARNING
NOTE:
• If NATS IMMU is not installed correctly, NATS system will not operate properly and SELF-DIAG RESULTS on CONSULT-II screen will show 'LOCK MODE'.
NOTE
IMMU installation is critical — the IMMU's antenna ring must surround the ignition key cylinder so it can read the key transponder when inserted. If the IMMU is loose or mispositioned, the antenna won't pick up the transponder signal at sufficient strength, and NATS will eventually flag LOCK MODE after enough failed reads.
Replacement procedure (image-only on this page — text-level steps appear on subsequent pages):
• Slide the new IMMU onto the ignition cylinder housing in the direction shown by the arrow
• Confirm the IMMU is fully seated against the housing
• Tighten the mounting bolt (visible at top of IMMU)
• Connect the IMMU harness connector
