Warning Buzzer / Wiring Diagram
NOTE
Warning buzzer is integrated into the UNIFIED METER CONTROL UNIT (cluster CU). Trigger inputs:
• Driver door open (R/W from DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR SWITCH M67) + LIGHTING SWITCH at 1ST or 2ND + ignition OFF → 'lights-on warning' chime.
• FUEL LEVEL SENSOR UNIT M69 (R wire) low → 'low fuel' chime.
• Internal logic also handles key-in chime via the DOOR pin (pin 27) coupled with KEY SWITCH on super-lock-equipped cars.
DRL variant (DL tag) gates the buzzer through DAYTIME LIGHT CONTROL UNIT M41/M42 — additional inputs LG (lights-active sense) and P (DRL-active) prevent the buzzer from chiming during normal DRL operation (since DRL keeps lights on with ignition).
Five variants on this page: L/R/DL/WD/GS/DI.
WARNING
Buzzer not silenceable from outside the cluster — it's part of the cluster CU. If buzzer fails, the cluster CU is the failure point (replace cluster or repair internal solder joint).
