A→D checks: switch power (1-6, 12V, NG→10A fuse), switch continuity table (0/1/2/3 → terminals 1+2/3/4/5), motor ground (6↔body), motor power (1/2/3/4 = 12V per aim position) → replace motor if all OK. Figs SEL221P-224P.

SYMPTOM: Headlamp aiming does not operate.

[A] POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT CHECK (for aiming switch). Check if 12 volts exist between terminals 1 and 6. Voltmeter 1(+)/6(-): Approx. 12 V.

[A N.G.] Check 10A fuse at fuse block. (Refer to 'POWER SUPPLY ROUTING'.)

[B] AIMING SWITCH CHECK. Check continuity between terminals at each switch position (continuity table).

[C] GROUND CIRCUIT CHECK FOR AIMING MOTOR. Check continuity between terminal 6 and body ground. Continuity exists ... O.K.

[C N.G.] Repair harness between aiming motor and body ground.

[D] POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT CHECK (for aiming motor unit). Check if 12 volts exist between terminals 1/2/3/4 and 6 per aiming switch position.

NOTE
Diagnosis for 'headlamp aiming does not operate'. Sequential checks A→D: (A) 12V power to aiming switch (1↔6); NG → 10A fuse. (B) aiming switch continuity table per position 0/1/2/3 (terminal 1 common, 2/3/4/5 select); NG → replace switch. (C) aiming-motor ground continuity (6↔body); NG → repair ground harness. (D) 12V appears at terminal 1/2/3/4 matching aim position 0/1/2/3 with switch '1st'; NG → harness between switch and motor, O.K. → replace aiming motor unit. All voltage checks done with lighting switch in '1st'.
