WIPERS AND WASHERS — Headlamp Wipers — Wiper Arm / Wiper Motor — Removal / Installation
EL-111prose procedureHeadlamp wipers + washers are market-specific options (mainly Scandinavian / Nordic markets). 2.0 ℓ dedicated reservoir keeps the headlamp washer fluid separate from the screen washer.
NOTE
Two motors are fitted, one under each headlamp. A wash nozzle is included on each arm supplied via tubing from a 2.0 ℓ reservoir located in the engine bay.
Wiper Arm — Removal
- 1Ensure wiper arm is in the park position by switching headlamp wiper switch on and off.
- 2Remove battery negative cable from the battery.
- 3Lift wiper arm nut cover and remove nut.
- 4Remove wiper arm.
Wiper Arm — Installation
NOTE
• Installation is the reverse procedure to removal.
• Ensure the motor is in park position before refitting wiper arm, by switching headlamp wiper switch on and off.
• When fitting the wiper arm/blade, tighten up the securing nut with the blade under the lower stop and then replace arm in the correct park position.
Wiper Motor — Removal
- 1Remove wiper arm as described above.
- 2Remove the Headlamp as described in "Headlamp section".
- 3Remove bolts from mounting bracket.
UEL104 - 4Disconnect harness connector.
- 5Remove wiper motor.
Wiper Motor — Installation
NOTE
• Wiper motor installation is the reverse procedure to removal.
• Fit wiper arm using procedure described above.
• Take care not to damage finish of vehicle bumper, grille or fender during removal and installation.
• Check that wiper action operates normally without judder.
