COMBINATION SWITCH — Replacement (Base K11)
EL-41prose procedureBase K11 COMBINATION SWITCH replacement (UEL047). Modular: lighting + wiper/washer switches pinch out of switch base (4 column-cover screws). Switch base removal needs steering wheel off (ST section) + attaching screw.
Replacement
• Each switch can be removed from the switch base while still in place on the steering column.
Switch removal (individual switches)
- 1Remove 4 screws from underside of steering column cover and remove cover.
- 2Remove switches by pinching top and bottom fixing wings and pulling switch out from switch base.
- 3Remove connectors from switch assembly.
• To remove combination switch base:
Switch base removal
- 1Remove switches as described above.
- 2Remove steering wheel (refer to ST section).
- 3Undo attaching screw and pull switch base off of steering column.
NOTE
The combination switch is modular: individual lighting and wiper/washer switch levers pinch out of the switch base without removing the base itself. Removing the switch base requires pulling the steering wheel first (ST section). Note the steering wheel removal — on a vehicle with SRS/airbag this involves additional safety steps covered in ST/RS.
