EXTERIOR LAMPS — Driving/Fog Lamp — Bulb Replacement / Replacement / Aiming

EL-66prose procedure

Aim adjustment: top screw alone = vertical; top + bottom in the same direction = horizontal pan. Unusual but lets a single drive mechanism do both axes.

Driving/Fog Lamp — Bulb Replacement

  1. 1
    Remove battery negative cable from battery.
  2. 2
    Remove Driving/Fog Lamp finisher by unscrewing captive screw.
    Driving/fog lamp in bumper — Connector securing lug, Finisher screw, Finisher, Lamp retaining screw callouts.

    Unscrew lamp from bumper.
  4. 4
    Twist lamp out of bumper.
  5. 5
    Twist and pull out sealing cap from back of unit.
    Back of fog/driving lamp — Earth lead, Bulb (TWIST and PULL), Back cover.

    Release bulb securing clip.
  7. 7
    Disconnect defective bulb and replace.
    1. Bulb: H4 12V 55W

Driving/Fog Lamp — Replacement

  1. 1
    Remove battery negative cable from battery.
  2. 2
    Remove Driving/Fog Lamp finisher by unscrewing captive screw.
  3. 3
    Unscrew lamp from bumper.
  4. 4
    Twist lamp out of bumper.
  5. 5
    Remove connector from bumper stud.
  6. 6
    Disconnect lamp from harness and remove.

Driving/Fog Lamp — Aiming

  1. 1
    Remove Driving/Fog Lamp finisher by unscrewing captive screw.
  2. 2
    Adjust vertical aim by turning the top aiming screw.
    Aiming-screw access — front view of fog lamp with Aiming screw callout (single screw drives both vertical + horizontal via geared rotation).

    Adjust horizontal aim by turning both the top and bottom aiming screws in the same direction.
