METER AND GAUGES — Tachometer, Temp., Speedometer and Fuel Gauges — Wiring Diagram (Cont'd) — With Diesel Engine (Supplement-VII)
EL-7039wiring diagramDiesel gauges wiring. Different sensor part numbers (E124/E125) and tach-signal colour (L vs PU on gas). No CVT variant on diesel.
Tachometer, Temp., Speedometer and Fuel Gauges / Wiring Diagram (Cont'd)
With Diesel Engine
NOTE
Diesel-variant gauges wiring. Differs from gas page (EL-7038) by:
• Water-temp sensor part number: E124 (vs F3 on gas).
• Vehicle speed sensor part number: E125 (vs E31 on gas).
• Tachometer signal carried by a wire labelled 'L — CJ2' from the diesel ECM (vs gas's PU wire).
• Diesel ECM is M18 with a larger connector block — separate harness path.
• No CVT variant (diesel is M/T-only on K11) — no L/B sport-mode input to cluster.
Fuel level sender M69 (R + B) is shared between gas and diesel — same component.
Ground paths: BODY GROUND for cluster + ENGINE GROUND for engine-side sensors.
WARNING
Diesel-specific note: the diesel ECM tach signal uses an L (Blue) wire — not the PU (Purple) wire used by gasoline. Crossing them when retrofitting between trims will not work.
