Procedure 5 — IMMU↔ECM ID mismatch

[A] Confirm SELF-DIAGNOSTIC RESULTS 'ID DISCORD, IMM-ECM*' displayed on CONSULT-II screen.

PERFORM INITIALIZATION. Perform initialization with CONSULT-II. Re-register all NATS ignition key IDs. For the initialization procedure, refer to 'CONSULT-II operation manual NATS'.
Initialization with CONSULT-II incomplete or failed
[B] • ECM is malfunctioning. 1) Replace ECM. Ref. part No. B. 2) Perform initialization with CONSULT-II. For the initialization procedure, refer to 'CONSULT-II operation manual NATS'.

NOTE
ID DISCORD means the IMMU's stored ID doesn't match the ECM's stored ID — usually because one of them was swapped without re-initialization, or initialization was interrupted previously.
Procedure:
1. Run C/U initialization with CONSULT-II — re-register all keys to both IMMU and ECM
2. If init completes, start engine, end (the original cause was just an incomplete previous init, ref. F)
3. If init keeps failing, ECM is bad — replace ECM + re-init (ref. B)
WARNING
ID DISCORD often appears after a battery disconnection mid-initialization. Try the re-init twice before suspecting hardware. ECM replacement is the last resort.
