REAR WINDOW DEFOGGER — Wiring Diagram (Cont'd) — With defogger timer
EL-7053wiring diagramTimer variant uses the CDLCU as the body-control unit hosting the defogger-timer logic — same module that handles power-door-lock and interior-lamp logical lighting. The 'Start timer' button is momentary; the relay coil is held energized by the CDLCU for the timer duration.

With defogger timer
NOTE
Rear window defogger with timer. A momentary 'Start timer' button on the switch module starts the timer, which energizes the defogger relay for a fixed period; the relay's NO contact connects the constant-battery feed (via fusible link 80A + 30A and an inline circuit breaker) to the rear-window-defogger grid. A 'Defogger ON' indicator lights while the timer runs. The Central Door Lock Control Unit (M3) houses the timer logic on this variant.
