Operation
When ignition switch is in the 'ON' position with the lighting switch in the '1ST' position, the headlamp low beam comes on dimly to function as a clearance lamp. Lighting switch operations other than the above are the same as conventional light systems.

NOTE
The Dim-dip Lamp Control Unit drives the headlamp low beams at reduced brightness when ignition is ON and the lighting switch is at 1ST. Schematic wire colours not individually legible (marked ?? per never-guess rule). Lighting-switch continuity grid (terminals 5-12) at top right matches EL-40. This is an alternative to the DRL system (EL-43/44) for different markets.
