HEADLAMP — Headlamp Aiming Control — Description (Base K11)
EL-49wiring diagramUnverifiedBase K11 HEADLAMP — Headlamp Aiming Control description (SEL658F). Load-leveling: dash aiming switch (0/1/2/3) drives RH+LH aiming motor units (UP/DOWN coils + rotating position sensor with continuity/no-continuity segments). Compensates for occupant/load. Wire colours illegible → ??.
Description
• The vertical direction of the headlamp projection can be adjusted from inside the vehicle to prevent the headlamp beam axis from facing upward due to a change in the number of occupants and load conditions in the vehicle.

NOTE
Headlamp aiming control (load-leveling). A dash-mounted aiming switch (positions 0/1/2/3) drives two aiming motor units (RH + LH), each with separate UP and DOWN coils and a rotating sensor. The sensor's conductive (continuity) vs white (no-continuity) commutator segments (A/B/C/D) feed back the current motor position so the motor stops at the selected aim height. Used to compensate for changes in occupant/load conditions. Switch position 0 = highest beam (unloaded), increasing numbers lower the beam. Schematic wire colours not legible at this raster (marked ??).
