NOTE
Check magnet for cracks and replace malfunctioning parts as an assembly.
Armature Check
- 1Test continuity between adjoining segments. No continuity ... Replace.
- 2Insulation test (between each commutator bar and shaft). Continuity exists ... Replace.
- 3Check commutator surface. Check the armature and commutator for wear or damage. A dirty or burned surface may be cleaned with fine grade emery paper.
- 4Check diameter of commutator. Commutator minimum diameter: Refer to "Service Data and Specifications". Less than specified value ... Replace.
