SYMPTOM: Headlamp aiming does not operate.
Headlamp aiming trouble diagnosis (without Daytime Light System)

INSPECTION START

CHECK LIGHTING SWITCH FUNCTION. 1) Turn lighting switch to 1st position. 2) Make sure that clearance, tail, license and instrument illumination lamps are turned on.
NG
Check the following: Lighting system circuit, Lighting switch. If NG, replace lighting switch, repair or replace lighting system circuit.
OK

CHECK POWER SUPPLY (For headlamp aiming switch). 1) Turn lighting switch to OFF position. 2) Disconnect headlamp aiming switch connector. 3) Turn lighting switch to 1st position. 4) Check if 12 - 14 volts exist between headlamp aiming switch harness connector terminal 1 and ground.
NG
Check the following: Harness connectors (M148, E70), Fuse block connectors (M139, E56), Harness continuity between lighting switch and headlamp aiming switch, Battery charge condition. If NG, replace battery, repair or replace harness or connectors.

CHECK GROUND CIRCUIT (For headlamp aiming switch). 1) Turn lighting switch to OFF position. 2) Check harness continuity between headlamp aiming switch harness connector terminal 2 and body ground. Continuity exists ... OK
NG
Repair harness between headlamp aiming switch and body ground.
OK

CHECK POWER SUPPLY (For aiming motor units). 1) Disconnect aiming motor units connectors. 2) Turn lighting switch to 1st position. 3) Check voltage between aiming motor units harness connector terminal 3 and ground. Voltage: Battery voltage
NG
Check the following: Harness connectors (M148, E69), Harness continuity between lighting switch and aiming motor units. If NG, repair or replace harness or connectors.
Check the following: Harness connectors (M148, E69), Harness continuity between lighting switch and aiming motor units. If NG, repair or replace harness or connectors.
