HORN, CIGARETTE LIGHTER AND CLOCK — Wiring Diagram (Supplement-VII)
EL-7051wiring diagramHorn + cig + clock combined wiring. Spiral cable for horn (airbag clockspring). Clock integrated in cluster. Same architecture as Supplement-VI EL-6029.
Wiring Diagram
NOTE
Three independent circuits on one page (sharing fuse-block-output connector cells):
• Horn: BATTERY → 10A fuse position 4 (G/B) → HORN RELAY M82 coil; horn switch on steering wheel routes through SPIRAL CABLE M27 (G/W = Green with White) to ground the relay coil. Relay contact drives both HORN HI M129 + HORN LO M125 (G = Green wire) in parallel.
• Cigarette lighter: IGN-ACC/ON via 15A fuse position 13 → OR/B → CIGARETTE LIGHTER M30 (with internal heating element).
• Clock: IGN-ACC/ON via 10A fuse position 24 → R/B → COMBINATION METER M38 pin 10 (clock is integrated into cluster, displays on the trip-computer LCD).
Horn routing through SPIRAL CABLE preserves airbag compatibility (same architecture as Supplement-VI).
WARNING
If horn doesn't sound but works in some steering positions: spiral cable continuity issue (clockspring damaged or wires worn). If you've replaced the clockspring, make sure it's centred before reinstalling — off-centre will damage the new cable on first full-lock turn.
