Base K11 EXTERIOR LAMPS — rear combination lamp bulb replacement (stop/tail 21/5W, turn 21W, fog 21W, reverse 21W; fog/reverse swap sides LHD/RHD) + removal (heat gun to soften butyl) + installation (re-bed hot butyl, fixing nuts 2.9-3.8 N·m, order 1-2-3). No organic solvents. Figs UEL056-059.

Bulb replacement

    To Replace Bulbs, pull back luggage compartment trim; pinch bulb holder fixing tabs and remove bulb holder.
  2. 2
    Replace Defective Bulb.
  3. 3
    Replace bulb holder ensuring it is locked into position.

Rear Combination Lamp — Removal

    Remove battery negative cable from battery.
  2. 2
    Remove bulb holder as described above.
  3. 3
    Remove nuts from fixing studs.
  4. 4
    Heat mastic from luggage compartment side until it is pliable enough to allow lens unit to be pulled away from mounting.

Rear Combination Lamp — Installation

Rear combination lamp installation

    Remove all traces of mastic prior to applying new sealant.
  2. 2
    Apply suitable bead of hot butyl around lens mounting. Hot Butyl should be applied without excess or gaps and must not protrude outside periphery of lens edges. Bead joint should be at the bottom of lamp in mounting position.
  3. 3
    Fit lamp in position.
  4. 4
    Tighten retaining nuts on fixing studs to the specified torques in the following order 1, 2, 3.
  5. 5
    Replace bulb holder ensuring it is locked securely in position.
