Wipers and Washers — Rear Wiper Arm

Ensure the wiper arm is in the park position by switching wiper on and off.

Remove battery negative cable from battery.

Lift wiper arm nut cover and remove wiper arm nut.

Prise wiper arm off drive pivot splines.

Clean drive pivot splines with a stiff brush to reduce possibility of wiper arm looseness.

Prior to installation, ensure the wiper arm pivot is in the park position by switching wiper on and off.

Remove battery negative cable from battery.

Ensure drive pivot splines are clean.

Lift the blade up and set it down onto glass to set the blade center to position before tightening the wiper arm nut.

Eject washer fluid and turn on wiper switch to operate wiper motor.
Ensure that wiper blade stops in location identified by the demister element.
Ensure wiper operates smoothly at all speeds.
Ensure wiper does not contact screen finisher.
Ensure all fluid is removed from the screen in one sweep of the wiper.
