DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE 3
Self-diagnostic results: 'DIFFERENCE OF KEY' displayed on CONSULT-II screen
Procedure 3 — Unregistered key fault
1
[A] Confirm SELF-DIAGNOSTIC RESULTS 'DIFFERENCE OF KEY' displayed on CONSULT-II screen.
2
PERFORM INITIALIZATION. PERFORM INITIALIZATION WITH CONSULT-II. Re-register all NATS ignition key IDs. For the initialization procedure, refer to 'CONSULT-II operation manual NATS'.
Initialization with CONSULT-II incomplete or failed
[B] • IMMU is malfunctioning. 1) Replace IMMU. Ref. part No. A. 2) Perform initialization with CONSULT-II. For the initialization procedure, refer to 'CONSULT-II operation manual NATS'.
[B] • IMMU is malfunctioning. 1) Replace IMMU. Ref. part No. A. 2) Perform initialization with CONSULT-II. For the initialization procedure, refer to 'CONSULT-II operation manual NATS'.
Initialization completed
3
Start engine.
END. (The ignition key was unregistered.) Ref. part No. D
NOTE
DIFFERENCE OF KEY DTC means IMMU received a key ID but verification failed. Procedure:
1. Run C/U initialization with all keys (re-registers all key IDs)
2. If init completes, start engine, end — fault was just an unregistered key (Ref. part No. D)
3. If init fails repeatedly, IMMU is bad — replace IMMU + re-init (Ref. part No. A)
WARNING
If INITIALIZATION FAIL screen appears: cycle ignition OFF and ON, confirm SELF-DIAG and PASSWORD, then re-attempt C/U INITIALIZATION. Only escalate to IMMU replacement if multiple init attempts fail.
