EL-27prose procedureFour starter variants by engine + transmission combo, all 12V. CG10DE and CG13DE engines share the 0.9 kW starter; CG13DE M/T has an optional 1.1 kW variant. M/T and N-CVT starters use different front brackets — NOT interchangeable.

NOTE
There are four basic models of starter motor, dependent on market application, engine size and N·CVT or manual transmission:

CAUTION
• Ensure correct starter motor is used when replacing.
• Note that manual and N·CVT starter motors have different front brackets and fixings and cannot be interchanged.
REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
Removal — Manual Transmission
- 1Remove battery negative cable from battery.
- 2Remove battery cable from starter motor.
UEL025 - 3Disconnect harness connector from starter motor harness.
- 4Remove starter motor mounting bolts.
- 5Remove starter motor.
