SUPER MULTIPLE JUNCTION (S.M.J.) — Terminal Arrangement (Cont'd) — Main Harness & Engine Room Harness + E.C.C.S. Control Unit
EL-145wiring diagramMaster S.M.J. terminal map — referenced by 'cell <ID>' throughout the wiring section. Critical for any wire-tracing exercise. Page scan is degraded near margins but the pin grid is clear at full resolution.
S.M.J. Pin Grid
NOTE
The S.M.J. is a 6-column (A/B/C/D/E/F) × 16-row (1-16) connector plate. Each cell is referenced by a code like 'C5' or 'F11' throughout the wiring section (e.g. the starting-circuit page EL-24 references 'cell C5' of E55/M59). Two pin-grid drawings are shown: top pair = Main Harness side (LHD + RHD identical), bottom pair = Engine Room Harness side.
NOTE
LHD and RHD use the same cell-naming convention — same wire colour goes to the same A/B/C/D/E/F-column letter regardless of hand. Differences are only at the physical layout (which is mirrored in the inset images on EL-144).
E.C.C.S. Control Unit
NOTE
48-pin connector viewed from harness side. Pin layout:
• Top row: 1 - 7 | 8 - 14 (left half)
• Middle row: 15 - 22 | 23 - 30 (right half)
• Bottom row: 31 - 39 | 40 - 48 (right half)
Used as a master reference when probing the ECU connector during ECCS diagnosis (see EF & EC section for individual pin functions).
