NOTE
Diesel pendant of EL-7042. Differences vs gas variant:
• Adds GLOW lamp (pin 3) — lit during glow-plug pre-heat (wait-to-start indicator).
• Adds WATER TEMP. lamp (separate from the gauge) — diesel-specific high-temp warning.
• Drops SPORT INDICATOR LAMP (no CVT diesel variant).
• Different sender connector IDs:
- Brake fluid switch E94 (variant) / E142 (variant)
- Water temp sensor E124 (diesel, vs F3 on gas)
- Oil pressure switch E135 (vs E115 on gas)
- Alternator E133 (vs E115/E117 on gas)
• Diesel ECM is M18 with signal labels CA4 (G/OR wire) and CC4 (SB wire) — these are ECM pin labels, not standard wire-colour codes.
WARNING
Diesel-only GLOW lamp logic: when ign-on, GLOW lamp lights for a few seconds while glow plugs heat up. Driver must wait until GLOW lamp goes out before cranking. If GLOW lamp never extinguishes, fault is in the glow-plug control unit (CSOLU) or glow plugs themselves.
