EL-75prose procedure27W test load simulates one turn-signal bulb — handy because the combination flasher is load-sensitive (electronic flasher detects bulb-out by cadence change).
Side Turn Signal Lamp — Bulb Replacement
- 1Remove battery negative cable from battery.
- 2Push down on side turn lamp holder to dislodge it from body aperture.
UEL167 - 3Twist off lens cap.
- 4Pull out defective bulb and replace.
- Bulb: 12V 5W
NOTE
• Push fit side turn lamp holder into body aperture to refit.
Combination Flasher Unit
NOTE
• The flasher unit is non-serviceable and can only be replaced as a complete unit.
Location
NOTE
• The flasher control unit is located on the steering column cross member.
Flasher Unit Check
NOTE
• Before checking ensure that standard bulbs are fitted.
• Connect a battery and test lamp to the combination flasher unit as shown. Combination flasher unit is properly functioning if it blinks when power is supplied to the circuit.
