INSPECTION START

CHECK POWER SOURCE. 1) Turn ignition switch ON. 2) Check voltage between terminal A and ground. Battery voltage should exist.

Check the following items: 1) Harness continuity between battery terminal and combination meter. 2) Ignition relay 1. 3) Fusible link (65A) and fuse (10A). 4) Ignition switch operation and connections.
Check the following items: 1) Harness continuity between battery terminal and combination meter. 2) Ignition relay 1. 3) Fusible link (65A) and fuse (10A). 4) Ignition switch operation and connections.

CHECK GAUGE OPERATION. 1) Turn ignition switch ON. 2) Connect terminal B and C to ground with wire through 3.4W test bulb. (Test points are raised soldered terminals on f.p.c.b.) 3) Check operation of gauge. Gauge should move smoothly to full scale.

CHECK COMPONENT. Check gauge units and harness. Refer to 'Fuel Tank Gauge Unit Check' and 'Thermal Transmitter Check'.
