- 1Switch wipers on and off to "park" wiper blades.
- 2Remove battery negative cable from battery.
- 3Remove wiper arms as described in previous procedure.
- 4Remove cowl top cover from bonnet (see exploded view of wiper system) by removing fixing screws and pulling cowl upwards off of fixing lugs.
- 5Disconnect Ball and Socket at Linkage/Motor Interface.
- 6Disconnect harness connector from wiper motor.
- 7Remove bolts (4) holding wiper motor assembly and remove wiper motor.
- 8Remove linkage fixing bolts (6) and pull linkage out of linkage channel.
NOTE
Take care to apply separation force as close to socket on linkage as possible.
Wiper Motor and Linkage Assembly
NOTE
Assembly is the reverse procedure to removal.
- 1Check that there is sufficient grease on ball and socket joint; apply grease if required.
- 2Fit motor and linkage fixing bolts to torque figures specified.
