EL-109prose procedureCheck valve in front-washer line prevents fluid back-siphoning from the nozzles in winter — drains the line so it doesn't freeze. Direction-of-fitting is the most common refit error (will result in extremely sluggish washer response).
Washer Nozzle — Adjustment
NOTE
Adjust front and rear washer nozzles with a suitable tool.
Each nozzle has two jets which should be set to provide water at the specified aiming points.

Washer Nozzle — Replacement
- 1To remove washer nozzle pull tubing off of check valve, pinch fixing lugs and push nozzle through bonnet aperture.
UEL097 - 2Push fit new nozzle, taking care not to damage surrounding point.
- 3Adjust nozzle to give correct spray pattern.
Check Valve
NOTE
• A check valve is provided in the washer fluid line. Be careful not to connect check valve in the wrong direction.
