EXTERIOR LAMPS — High Mounted Stop Lamp / License Plate Lamp

License-plate-lamp lens uses captive screws — they stay in the lens when undone (useful detail; means they won't fall into the bumper cavity).

HIGH MOUNTED STOP LAMP — Bulb replacement

    Remove battery negative cable from battery.
  2. 2
    Open Back Door to access lamp.
  3. 3
    Remove screws in lamp rear cover and remove cover.
    High-mounted stop lamp viewed from inside back-door trim — Reflector, Bulb, Fixing nuts callouts.

    Unclip reflector.
  5. 5
    Twist out defective bulb and replace.
    1. Bulb: 12V 21W

HIGH MOUNTED STOP LAMP — Removal and Installation

    Remove battery negative cable from battery.
  2. 2
    Remove screws in lamp rear cover (2 off) and remove cover.
  3. 3
    Remove fixing nuts and remove assembly.

LICENSE PLATE LAMP — Bulb removal

  1. 1
    Remove battery negative cable from battery.
  2. 2
    Unscrew lens fixing screws (2 off), pull off lens cover (screws remain captive).
    License plate lamp under rear-bumper trim — Captive screws callout on lens-fixing.

    Pull out defective bulb and replace.
