NOTE
Diesel NATS differs from gasoline:
• 12-pin IMMU (vs 8-pin gasoline)
• Disables engine via CSOLU (Control Solenoid Unit — the diesel-injection-pump fuel-cut solenoid) instead of ECM authorisation
• Explicit NATS antenna amp component (gasoline has it integrated or shared)
• Built-in DATA LINK CONNECTOR pins for CONSULT programming
CSOLU = stop-solenoid on the diesel injector pump. NATS deactivates the solenoid to prevent fuel reaching the injectors.
WARNING
Diesel NATS faults can leave the car cranking but unable to fire because the CSOLU is shut. Diagnosing involves the CONSULT-II port wired into pins 6/7 of the IMMU directly.
