HEADLAMP — Daytime Light System — Schematic (Supplement-VII)
EL-7015wiring diagramSupplement-VII DRL schematic. Same architecture as Supplement-VI (12-pin CU + alternator L sense + charge warning lamp gate) — confirms DRL implementation hasn't changed between supplements.
Schematic
NOTE
DRL schematic. DAYTIME LIGHT CONTROL UNIT (12-pin module) governs the headlamps in daytime running mode. Inputs:
• Pin 2 — ignition START (cranking lockout)
• Pin 8 — ignition ON or START (run-state detect)
• Pin 12 — alternator L (engine-running detect)
• Pin 1 — charge warning lamp (alt-fault detect)
• Pin 5 — battery via 15A/10A fuses
• Pin 7 — LIGHTING SWITCH state (user override)
Outputs:
• Pin 9 — HEADLAMP RH LOW
• Pin 6 — HEADLAMP RH HIGH
• Pin 11 — HEADLAMP LH LOW
• Pin 3 — HEADLAMP LH HIGH
• Pin 10 — Ground
DRL mode rule: when ignition is ON+START and alternator L is alive (engine running) and charge warning lamp is dark (no fault), headlamps come on at low intensity automatically. User selecting 1ST/2ND lighting-switch position overrides DRL with normal headlamp operation.
WARNING
DRL fault diagnosis order: check alternator L line first — DRL won't engage if the alternator isn't charging. Then check the charge-warning-lamp circuit — if it's stuck on, the DRL CU thinks the alt is bad and disables DRL.
