EL-116wiring diagramDefogger timer is integral to the switch — common failure mode is the timer's coil/transistor going open-circuit, then the defogger element never gets energised. Test at the relay side by jumpering the coil control wire to ground.

NOTE
WITH-TIMER variant adds an integrated 10-minute timer to the switch module — defogger auto-cancels after the timer expires. Switch illumination + ON indicator are also part of the switch module.
