Diagnostic Procedure 13 — Engine stalls during rapid acceleration

Check AAC valve. CONSULT method: Start engine. Conduct "AAC VALVE" test with "FUNCTION TEST" showing on display. Check to ensure control duty ratio is in the 80 - 20% range and engine speed changes at least 150 rpm or proceed as follows: Start engine. Select "AAC Valve Position" with "ACTIVE TEST" showing on display. Touch "Qu" and "Qd" to ensure engine speed changes with AAC valve position (in percentage). No-tool method: Start engine. Check to ensure engine speed decreases when AAC valve connector is removed.

Check throttle sensor. CONSULT method: Conduct self-diagnosis and "Real Time Diagnosis" with "DATA MONITOR" showing on display. (Refer to "CONSULT".) No-tool method: Conduct self-diagnosis Mode II. (Refer to "Self-Diagnosis".)
