CHECK A.A.C. VALVE. With CONSULT: Start engine. Conduct "A.A.C. VALVE" test with "FUNCTION TEST" showing on display. Check to ensure control duty ratio is in the 80 - 20% range and engine speed changes at least 150 rpm or proceed as follows: Start engine. Select "A.A.C. Valve Position" with "ACTIVE TEST" showing on display. Touch "Qu" and "Qd" to ensure engine speed changes with A.A.C. valve position (in percentage). Without CONSULT: Start engine. Check to ensure engine speed decreases when A.A.C. valve connector is removed.
N.G.
Check A.A.C. valve and circuit. Refer to "A.A.C. Valve". (See page EF&EC-158).
O.K.
3
CHECK LOAD INPUT SIGNAL. Check to ensure idle speed changes with ON/OFF operation under each load.
N.G.
Check load input circuit. Refer to "A.A.C. Valve". (See page EF&EC-158)
O.K.
4
CHECK IGNITION SYSTEM. Check for operation. Refer to "Ignition Signal". (See page EF & EC 140)
N.G.
Repair or replace.
O.K.
5
CHECK SPARK GAPS. Turn ignition switch "OFF". Remove spark plugs. Install new or good spark plugs. While moving rear end of each spark plug close to grounding point, crank engine. Check for sparks.
N.G.
Check ignition coil, power transistor and related circuits. Refer to "Ignition Signal". (See page EF&EC-140)
O.K.
