Step 4 — CHECK POWER SUPPLY-II

  1. 1
    Stop engine.
  2. 2
    Check voltage between ECM terminals 26 and ground with CONSULT-II or tester. (See SEF982W)
  3. 3
    Voltage: Battery voltage.
  4. 4
    OK or NG: - OK → GO TO 6. - NG → GO TO 5.

Step 5 — DETECT MALFUNCTIONING PART

  1. 1
    Check the following: - Harness connectors F58, M184, M139 - 10A fuse - Harness for open or short between ECM and fuse
  2. 2
    → Repair harness or connectors.

Step 6 — CHECK POWER SUPPLY-III

  1. 1
    Turn ignition switch "ON" and then "OFF".
  2. 2
    Check voltage between ECM terminal 54 and ground with CONSULT-II or tester. (See SEF653Z)
  3. 3
    Voltage: After turning ignition switch "OFF", battery voltage will exist for 1 second, then drop to approximately 0V.
  4. 4
    OK or NG: - OK → GO TO 14. - NG (Battery voltage does not exist.) → GO TO 7. - NG (Battery voltage exists for more than 1 second.) → GO TO 13.
