FunctionThis mode enables a technician to perform inspections and adjustments faster and more accurately than using convential means by following the instructions displayed on the CONSULT unit.
Self-diagnostic results
FunctionReceives the results of self diagnosis from the electronic control unit, and displays malfunctioning parts, if present. It also displays data indicating the duration between the last occurrence of a malfunction and now. Prints the displayed information. Transmits commands to the electronic control unit, and erases stored data.
Data monitor
FunctionReceives data from various sources sequentially, and displays it all on the screen at one time. Records data for a certain period, and displays or prints it out. Receives the results of real-time diagnosis and starts recording if a failure occurrence is reported. Also detects engine stall and activates the recording function.
Active test
FunctionTurns on/off actuators and changes control characteristics according to the commands transmitted by the CONSULT unit.
E.C.U. part numbers
FunctionReceives the part number recorded in the electronic control unit and displays it on the screen.
Function test
FunctionAllows engine circuits to be tested sequentially or individually from a test menu.
