DTC P0335 Malfunction Detection / Possible Causes

DTC No.	Malfunction is detected when ...	Check Items (Possible Cause)
P0335	- The crankshaft position sensor signal is not in the normal pattern during engine running. - The crankshaft position sensor signal is not sent to ECM during the first few seconds of engine cranking. - The proper pulse signal from the crankshaft position sensor is not sent to ECM while the engine is running.	- Harness or connectors (The crankshaft position sensor circuit is open.) - Crankshaft position sensor

DTC Confirmation Procedure

NOTE

If "DTC Confirmation Procedure" has been previously conducted, always turn ignition switch "OFF" and wait at least 1 seconds before conducting the next test.

With CONSULT-II

DTC Confirmation Procedure (With CONSULT-II)

Turn ignition switch "ON" and select "DATA MONITOR" mode with CONSULT-II.

Start engine and run it for at least 2 seconds at idle speed.

Keep engine speed at about 2,000 rpm for at least 2 seconds.

If 1st trip DTC is detected, go to "Diagnostic Procedure", EC-7178.

With GST

DTC Confirmation Procedure (With GST)

Start engine and run it for at least 2 seconds at idle speed.

Keep engine speed at about 2,000 rpm for at least 2 seconds.

Select "MODE 7" with GST.

If 1st trip DTC is detected, go to "Diagnostic Procedure", EC-7178.
