C: CHECK GROUND CIRCUIT. 1) Disconnect cooling fan motor harness connector. 2) Check harness continuity between cooling fan motor connector terminal (a) and cooling fan relay terminal (3); cooling fan motor connector terminal (b) and body ground. Continuity should exist.

Repair harness or connectors.

D: CHECK OUTPUT SIGNAL CIRCUIT. 1) Disconnect ECM harness connector. 2) Check harness continuity between ECM terminal (9) and cooling fan relay terminal (1). Continuity should exist.
NG
Check the following: - Harness connectors F22, M18 - Harness connectors M59, E55 (LHD models) - Harness connectors M1, E3 (RHD models) - Harness continuity between ECM and cooling fan relay. If NG, repair harness or connectors.
Check the following: - Harness connectors F22, M18 - Harness connectors M59, E55 (LHD models) - Harness connectors M1, E3 (RHD models) - Harness continuity between ECM and cooling fan relay. If NG, repair harness or connectors.

CHECK COMPONENT (Cooling fan relay). Refer to "Electrical Components Inspection". (See page EF&EC 171 - 180)

Replace cooling fan relay.
OK

E: CHECK COMPONENT (Cooling fan motor). 1) Reconnect cooling fan relay, cooling fan motor harness connector and ECM harness connector. 2) Perform "RADIATOR FAN CIRCUIT" in "FUNCTION TEST" mode with CONSULT. OR 2) Start engine. 3) Perform "RADIATOR FAN TEST" in "ACTIVE TEST" mode with CONSULT. OR Refer to "Electrical Components Inspection". (See page EF&EC 171 - 180)

Replace cooling fan motor.
OK
Check ECM pin terminals for damage or the connection of ECM harness connector.
