Check injector operation. With screwdriver attached to injector, check to see if a hissing sound is emitted from the injector.

Check fuel pump operation. • Select "fuel pump relay" under "ACTIVE TEST" on display. Press "START" to ensure fuel pump emits hissing sound. — OR — • After turning ignition switch "ON", listen to fuel pump operation for 5 seconds.

Check fuel pressure. • Conduct "fuel pump" function test. • Check fuel hose vibration — OR — • While fuel pump is operating, pinch fuel filter-to-fuel gallery hose with fingers to check whether it is tight or vibrating.
