DTC P0133 HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR 1 (FRONT) (RESPONSE MONITORING); On Board Diagnosis Logic; DTC Confirmation Procedure; Overall Function Check
EF & EC-7116prose procedureSource typo preserved: diagnostic-logic table DTC No. printed as "P0130" instead of "P0133" (the page title and DTC heading say P0133). Page introduces P0133 RESPONSE MONITORING but the on-board logic row mis-labels the code. Overall Function Check is truncated — continues on next page.
CG10, CGA3
On Board Diagnosis Logic
Under the condition in which the heated oxygen sensor 1 (front) signal is monitored to determine whether the response time is inordinately slow.
DTC Confirmation Procedure
CAUTION
Always drive vehicle at a safe speed.
NOTE
If "DTC Confirmation Procedure" has been previously conducted, always turn ignition switch "OFF" and wait at least 1 second before conducting the next test.
With CONSULT-II
- 1Start engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature. If 1st trip DTC is detected, go to "Diagnostic Procedure", EC-7118.
- 2Stop engine and wait at least 1 second.
- 3Turn ignition switch "ON" and select "DATA MONITOR" with CONSULT-II.
- 4Start engine and let it idle for at least 3 minutes.
- 5If 1st trip DTC is detected, go to "Diagnostic Procedure", EC-7118.
Overall Function Check
Use this procedure to check the overall function of the heated oxygen sensor 1 (front) circuit. During this check, a 1st trip DTC might not be confirmed.
With GST
- 1Start engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature.
- 2Set voltmeter probes between ECM terminal 12 and ground.
- 3Check the following with engine speed held at 2,000 rpm constant under no load. - The voltage fluctuates between 0 to 0.3V and 0.6 to 1.0V more than three times within 10 seconds.
