INSPECTION START

CHECK POWER SUPPLY. 1) Turn ignition switch ON. 2) Check voltage between ECM terminals 38, 47 and ground. Voltage: Battery voltage
OK
CHECK GROUND CIRCUIT. 1) Turn ignition switch OFF. 2) Disconnect ECM harness connector. 3) Check harness continuity between ECM terminals 6, 13, 107, 108 and engine ground. Continuity should exist. If NG, repair harness or connectors.
CHECK GROUND CIRCUIT. 1) Turn ignition switch OFF. 2) Disconnect ECM harness connector. 3) Check harness continuity between ECM terminals 6, 13, 107, 108 and engine ground. Continuity should exist. If NG, repair harness or connectors.

CHECK HARNESS CONTINUITY BETWEEN ECCS RELAY AND ECM. 1) Turn ignition switch OFF. 2) Disconnect ECM harness connector. 3) Disconnect ECCS relay. 4) Check harness continuity between ECM terminals 38, 47 and ECCS relay terminal 5. Continuity should exist.

Check the following: Harness connectors F21, M17 (LHD models); Harness connectors F26, M22 (RHD models); Harness connectors M58, E55 (LHD models); Harness connectors M3, E1 (RHD models); Harness continuity between ECM and ECCS relay. If NG, repair harness or connectors.
Check the following: Harness connectors F21, M17 (LHD models); Harness connectors F26, M22 (RHD models); Harness connectors M58, E55 (LHD models); Harness connectors M3, E1 (RHD models); Harness continuity between ECM and ECCS relay. If NG, repair harness or connectors.

CHECK VOLTAGE BETWEEN ECCS RELAY AND GROUND. 1) Check voltage between ECCS relay terminals 1, 3 and ground. Voltage: Battery voltage
NG
Check the following: 25A fusible link; Harness continuity between ECCS relay and battery. If NG, replace fusible link or repair harness or connectors.
