Check Oxygen Sensor: 1. Run engine at about 2,000 rpm for about 2 minutes under no-load. 2. Select "Engine" and then "Function Test" from the CONSULT menu screen, then select "SINGLE TEST" from the Select Test Mode Menu and "MIXTURE RATIO TEST" from the Test Item Menu. 3. Press "Start", and then "EXIT" after test completion. 4. Select "ECU Input Signals" from the "Data Monitor" mode and press "START". 5. Maintaining engine at 2,000 rpm under no-load (engine is warmed up sufficiently), check "MIR FIC MNT" fluctuates between "LEAN" and "RICH" more than 5 times during 10 seconds. RICH -> LEAN -> RICH -> LEAN -> RICH ..... 1 time / 2 times 6. Check "Exhaust Gas Sensor" voltage in "Data Monitor" mode. 7. With engine speed maintained at 2,000 rpm under no-load check that the exhaust gas sensor voltage fluctuates between 0 and 1V more than 5 times during 10 seconds. OR 1. Set "Exhaust gas sensor monitor" in the self-diagnostic mode II. 2. Run and maintain engine at about 2,000 rpm under no-load, check to make sure that the RED L.E.D. on the E.C.U. goes ON and OFF more than 5 times during 10 seconds.
