Check AAC valve. CONSULT method: Start engine. Conduct "A.A.C. VALVE" test with "FUNCTION TEST" showing on display. Check to ensure control duty ratio is in the 80 - 20% range and engine speed changes at least 150 rpm or proceed as follows: Start engine. Select "A.A.C. Valve Position" with "ACTIVE TEST" showing on display. Touch "Qu" and "Qd" to ensure engine speed changes with A.A.C. valve position (in percentage). No-tool method: Start engine. Check to ensure engine speed decreases when AAC valve connector is removed.
N.G.
Check A.A.C. valve and circuit. Refer to "A.A.C. Valve". (See page EF&EC-158).
O.K.

Check compression pressure. Standard value: 1,324 kPa (13.24 bar, 13.5 kg/cm², 192 psi)/350 rpm. Limit value: 1,128 kPa (11.28 bar, 11.5 kg/cm², 164 psi)/350 rpm. Pressure difference tolerance among cylinders: 98 kPa (0.98 bar, 1.0 kg/cm², 14 psi)/350 rpm
N.G.
Check piston, piston rings, valves, valve seats and cylinder head gasket.
