DTC P0100 MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR (MAFS); Diagnostic Procedure (Cont'd); Steps 2-4
EF & EC-7079prose procedureSource step 3 expected-voltage table reads 'Terminal 2: Approximately 5; Terminal 4: Battery voltage' while the prose line below says 'Battery voltage at terminal 2 and approximately 5V at terminal 4' — verbatim contradictory text in the source; both versions preserved.
Diagnostic Procedure (Cont'd)
CG10, CGA3
Step 2 — RETIGHTEN GROUND SCREWS
- 1Turn ignition switch "OFF".
- 2Loosen and retighten body groun screws. (See NEF147A)
- 3→ GO TO 3.
Step 3 — CHECK POWER SUPPLY
- 1Disconnect mass air flow sensor harness connector. (See NEF150A)
- 2Turn ignition switch "ON".
- 3Check voltage between terminals 2, 4 and ground with CONSULT-II or tester. (See SEF297X)
- 4Expected: - Terminal 2: Approximately 5 V - Terminal 4: Battery voltage - Voltage: Battery voltage at terminal 2 and approximately 5V at terminal 4.
- 5OK or NG: - OK → GO TO 5. - NG → GO TO 4.
Step 4 — DETECT MALFUNCTIONING PART
- 1Check the following: - Harness connectors F32, E67 - Harness for open and short between mass air flow sensor and ECM relay - Harness for open and short between mass air flow sensor and ECM
- 2→ Repair harness or connectors.
