Check throttle sensor. [CONSULT] Conduct self-diagnosis and 'Real Time Diagnosis' with 'DATA MONITOR' showing on display. (Refer to 'CONSULT'.) [No CONSULT] Conduct self-diagnosis Mode II. (Refer to 'Self-Diagnosis'.)

Check air intake for leaks. Start engine. Check to ensure engine speed increases when blow-by hose is pinched with fingers.

Check spark gaps. Turn ignition switch 'OFF'. Remove spark plugs. Install new or good spark plugs. While moving rear end of each spark plug close to grounding point, crank engine. Check for sparks.
