Step 3 — CHECK IGNITION TIMING (with CONSULT-II)
- 1Warm up engine to normal operating temperature.
- 2Select "IGNITION TIMING ADJ" in "WORK SUPPORT" mode and touch "START".
- 3Check ignition timing at idle using a timing light.

Only check ignition timing as the timing is not adjustable.
GO TO 5.
Step 4 — CHECK IGNITION TIMING (with GST)
- 1Warm up engine to normal operating temperature.
- 2Select "MODE 1" with GST.
- 3Start engine.
- 4Check ignition timing at idle using a timing light.

Step 5 — ERASE UNNECESSARY DTC
- 1After this inspection, if unnecessary DTC No. is displayed, erase the stored memory in ECM. Refer to "HOW TO ERASE EMISSION-RELATED DIAGNOSTIC INFORMATION", EC-7036.
- 2INSPECTION END.
