INSPECTION START

CHECK OVERALL FUNCTION. 1) Start engine. 2) Perform POWER BALANCE in ACTIVE TEST mode with CONSULT. 3) Make sure that each circuit produces a momentary engine speed drop. OR Listen to each injector operating sound. Clicking noise should be heard.

CHECK POWER SUPPLY. 1) Stop engine. 2) Disconnect injector harness connector. 3) Turn ignition switch ON. 4) Check voltage between each injector terminal b and ground. Voltage: Battery voltage

Check the following: Harness connectors F21, M17 (LHD models); Harness connectors F28, M23 (RHD models); Harness connectors M59, E55 (LHD models); Harness connectors M3, E1 (RHD models); 30A fuse (fusible link and fuse box); Harness continuity between battery and injector; Condition and operation of ignition switch. If NG, repair harness or connectors.
Check the following: Harness connectors F21, M17 (LHD models); Harness connectors F28, M23 (RHD models); Harness connectors M59, E55 (LHD models); Harness connectors M3, E1 (RHD models); 30A fuse (fusible link and fuse box); Harness continuity between battery and injector; Condition and operation of ignition switch. If NG, repair harness or connectors.

CHECK OUTPUT SIGNAL CIRCUIT. 1) Turn ignition switch OFF. 2) Disconnect ECM harness connector. 3) Check harness continuity between injector terminals a and ECM terminals 101, 110, 103, 112. Continuity should exist.

Repair harness or connector.

CHECK COMPONENT (Injector). Refer to Electrical Components Inspection.
NG
Replace injector.
OK

Check ECM pin terminals for damage or poor connection of ECM harness connector.
