CHECK BATTERY AND STARTER. Check battery and starter operation. (Refer to EL section.)

CHECK IDLE POSITION. With CONSULT: With "WORK SUPPORT" showing on display, check to ensure "IDLE POSITION" is "ON". Without CONSULT: Check to ensure throttle sensor output is approximately 5 volts during idle.

Check fast idle cam. Check throttle linkage and throttle valve. Refer to "Throttle Sensor". (See page EF&EC-143)
