INSPECTION START

CHECK OVERALL FUNCTION. 1) Turn ignition switch "ON". 2) Perform "START SIGNAL CIRCUIT" in "FUNCTION TEST" mode with CONSULT. OR 2) Check start signal in "DATA MONITOR" mode with CONSULT. IGN "ON": OFF. IGN "START": ON. OR 1) Turn ignition switch to "START". 2) Check voltage between E.C.U. terminal (34) and ground. Voltage: Ignition switch "START" Battery voltage; Except above Approximately 0V

CHECK INPUT SIGNAL CIRCUIT. 1) Turn ignition switch "OFF". 2) Disconnect E.C.U. harness connector and ignition switch harness connector. 3) Check harness continuity between E.C.U. terminal (34) and ignition switch terminal (a). Continuity should exist.

Check the following. - Harness connectors (F22), (M18) - 10A fuse - Harness continuity between E.C.U. and ignition switch. If N.G., repair harness or connectors.
Check the following. - Harness connectors (F22), (M18) - 10A fuse - Harness continuity between E.C.U. and ignition switch. If N.G., repair harness or connectors.

Check E.C.U. pin terminals for damage or poor connection of E.C.U. harness connector.
