- 8Install new shim using a suitable tool.Install with the surface on which the thickness is stamped facing down.
SEM146D - 9Place Tool (A) as mentioned in steps 2 and 3.
SEM147D - 10Remove Tool (B).
- 11Remove Tool (A).
- 12Recheck valve clearance.

NOTE
*: At a temperature of approximately 20°C (68°F).
IMPORTANT
If valve clearances are set under cold conditions, i.e. during an engine rebuild, check that the clearances are correct after the engine has been run to normal operating temperature. Adjust if necessary.
