Oil Filter Replacement (Cont'd)

    Clean oil filter mounting surface on CVT. Coat rubber seal of new oil filter with CVT fluid.
    Hand applying CVT fluid to the rubber seal of the new oil filter cartridge.

    Screw in the oil filter until a slight resistance is felt, then tighten additionally 2/3 turn.

    Add CVT fluid. Oil filter torque: 12 - 13 N·m (1.22 - 1.42 kg-m, 9 - 18 ft-lb)

Differential Side Oil Seal Replacement

    Remove drive shaft assemblies. Refer to FA section ("Drive Shaft", "FRONT AXLE").

    Remove oil seals.
    CVT case at the differential side with the seal-puller tool inserted into the oil seal bore; 'Oil seal' callout.

    Install oil seals. • Apply CVT fluid to oil seal surface before installing. • Install oil seals so that dimensions "A" and "B" are within specifications.

    Reinstall any part removed.
