TROUBLE DIAGNOSES FOR NON-DETECTABLE ITEMS — Diagnostic Procedure (Cont'd) (Fluid Temperature Sensor)
AT-7120flowchartUnverifiedThe small probe diagram SAT420JA labels the wire at TCM pin 28 as 'P/PU', whereas AT-7113 / AT-7118 list the same pin as P/L. Capture as printed and flag — same wire, different print transcription.
Diagnostic Procedure (Cont'd) (CVT Fluid Temperature Sensor)

3. CHECK INPUT SIGNAL OF CVT FLUID TEMPERATURE SENSOR (Without CONSULT-II) — Start engine. Check voltage between TCM terminal 28 and ground while warming up CVT. Voltage: Cold [20°C (68°F)] → Hot [80°C (176°F)]: Approximately 2.4V → 0.8V. Then turn ignition switch to "OFF". Disconnect TCM harness connector. Check continuity between terminal 43 and ground. Continuity should exist. If OK, check harness for short to ground and short to power.
NG
Check the following item: Harness for short to ground or short to power or open between TCM, ECM and terminal cord assembly (Main harness); Ground circuit for ECM. Refer to EC section ("TROUBLE DIAGNOSIS FOR POWER SUPPLY").

4. CHECK DTC — Perform Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) confirmation procedure, AT-7114.
NG
1. Perform TCM input/output signal inspection. 2. If NG, recheck TCM pin terminals for damage or loose connection with harness connector.
OK
